O my word....what a game! :)

The leaves are changing colors and beginning to fall here in Poland, which is one of my favorite times of the year back in the states.

We're heading out of Leszno right now as I type and luckily, we're doing it with a win. The game could have gone either way, but in the end, we made some clutch plays that helped us come out on top. I'm just glad it's over and I will be back home in my bed before midnight. Hallelujah! ...As I sit back in my new designated seat on my new team bus, with my new teammates and coaches, I can't help but think how time here in Poland has flown by. Gorzow is feeling more and more like home everyday. I've found my way around the city plenty of times on my own already, speaking some polish, and even made plans to learn how to drive a stick. HA. But, more importantly, I've played in three league games already. It feels like just yesterday I was back at home for the summer and didn't even know where I was going to play for the year. But, here I am and the past two weeks have been pretty interesting. I've seen everything from Anna DeForge shoot 3's like they are lay-ups, the inside of the emergency room for three stitches under my chin, and girls playing basketball in skirts! The competition here is tough and I have no complaints with anyone that has told me this league is one of the better leagues in the world. I'm just blessed and happy to be a part of it. Other than that...life is good. The leaves are changing colors and beginning to fall here in Poland, which is one of my favorite times of the year back in the states. It reminds me of FALL back home in the midwest. The sun is shining, a little chilly, but not freezing cold. I have to admit, though, I miss celebrating Halloween with friends and family. I miss carving pumpkins, going to cider mills, drinking cider, and dressing up in goofy costumes with my friends. You folks have no idea what you're missing out on over here. I guess that's just the American in me. HA! But, I will be sure to grab a KIT-KAT and a SNICKERS at the local Tesco on Wednesday in honor of all the trick-or-treating I will miss out on. :) Until next time...
