I'm sure everyone was happy

I'm not sure what other American player's in this country do on their days off. But I don't do much. I woke up this morning fifteen minutes before I had to walk out the door to go to the gym for some shooting. After about an hour on the court--if that--it was time for a little spa treatment. After a water massage and some time in and out of the sauna, I headed to my favorite Italian restaurant here in Gorzow with two of my teammates for a DELICIOUS lunch. :) I was craving a bowl of their spaghetti with some panini (bread) and butter. Mmmmmmm...there wasn't a noodle left on the plate after I was done! Besides that, there wasn't much to my day. I took a nice nap in the middle of the day, watched some movies on my computer and went for a late night run around the city just to get out of the apartment for a bit. But, thats usually what my day after games are like. Speaking of games, last night was the first game in history for the team here in Gorzow playing in any type of international cup. We defeated a really good team from Hungary. They "hung" with us the entire game and did not make it easy for us at all. It was a big night for our club and I'm sure everyone was happy to end the night with a win. The highlight of the night for me would have to be the fashion show that took place in the locker room before the game. HA. We knew we were going to get new uniforms (only to be worn for the cup games) and we had all heard that the shorts were a bit short in length. Well, they turned out not only to be short, but a bit small as well and we all got a kick out of trying them on for the first time. I think we all spent a little extra time in front of the mirror that night. I even think our coach got a good laugh in after seeing us in them for the first time. :) On behalf of the team that was showing a little extra skin last night, I'd like to thank all of the fans from Gorzow that came out and supported us Wednesday night. The crowd was great and I'm sure all of my teammates agree with me when I say, we couldn't have done it without you! We're headed back out on the road tomorrow afternoon for our game on Saturday and then we go to Croatia on Tuesday for our next cup game. I look forward to the travels! I will write about them for sure... Until then... Carrie
