Happy Valentines Day

I know that I'm a couple days late, but HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! :) I hope everyone was able to share the day with their family, friends and loved ones. Unfortunately for me, my Valentine was back at home in the states, so I spent the night at home alone in the house. :( I did, however, get to talk to a lot of family and friends on the computer and got some great Valentines Day wishes that way. I even got a couple cards and a gift in the mail! One of the best parts of the day though was when my coach came up to me and KiKI, my teammate, and said to us, "Nice Valentines Day" with this huge smile on his face. Kiki and I both looked at eachother and began to laugh, but quickly said "awwwww, thanks coach!" Although his English was a little off, we both knew that was his way of wishing us both a "Happy" Valentines Day. HA! The holiday came in the middle of a week of hard work and preparation for our game on Saturday against LKS. It was a big game, seeing as how we lost last week to Torun and we all knew going into the game that we couldn't lose if we are trying to finish in the top four of the league. We worked hard on our zone offense all week because they have played a lot of teams in a zone this year and sure enough, they did the same thing to us on Saturday night. We ran our offense just like we did in practice all week and were able to find some serious holes in their zone. My teammates did a great job of penetrating and finding me on the perimeter and I amazed them, the fans, and even myself, by knocking down seven three pointers! I think that's a personal best for me from behind the arc for my career. It was a great shooting night for me, but I'm just glad we got the win. After the game, I celebrated the win the best way I know how here in Gorzow. No, I didn't do what many of you are thinking right now after reading a comment like that, but instead, I went to the mooooooovies! I love going to the cinema and any of my teammates know that I am always down to go see a movie. The people working at the concession stand even know my order by heart because I order it so many times: medium popcorn, water without gas, and a big orange juice. HA! Here's a list of movies I've seen in the past week. They were all really good, so go check them out if you haven't seen them: American Gangster Project: Monster P.S. I Love You Atonement No Country for Old Men Jumper Yes, thats right. Six movies in ten days! :) But, we've got a busy and competitive two weeks of Polish games coming up. So, I'm not sure how many movies I'll be seeing in the near future. But, I am looking forward to the games though.
