March Madness!

HEY everyone!

,

It's my day off and I'm sitting in my apartment watching a live video feed of the 2008 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Today was the first day of the men's tournament. There are games going on all day and I will be able to watch all the games today and for the rest of the tournament live on NCAA.com for free! This is the most exciting time of the year for college basketball and I'm thrilled I will still be able to to tune in, even from overseas. Anyways, can you believe its March already? I sure can't! My time here in Poland has gone by so fast. As much as I love this country, I can't help but get a little excited that this time next month, I will be about a week away from flying home! :) But, before I go, I'd like to win a medal to take back to the states with me. Our club is really excited for the opportunity to make history for this team this year. We have a tough match-up with Rybnik in the first round, but I know our entire team is excited to play and get these playoffs started! But, before the start of playoffs, there's EASTER! It's been one of my favorite holidays since I was little girl. My family and I used to all pack up and head to my grandmother's house in a small town in southeast Ohio. I remember waking up on Easter Sunday really early like it was Christmas morning and be so excited for our annual easter egg hunt. I was a firm believer in the easter bunny and my brother and I competed to see who would find all of our eggs first. They were spread out throughout the house and the front yard outside if the weather was nice. Each egg had a little gift to go along with it and a clue telling me where the next egg could be found. After the scavenger hunt, my brother and I colored the eggs for everyone in the family and set them out for them to dry. Later that day, we boiled and ate them as a delicious starter for our Easter dinner prepared by my grandmother. It's memories like those that truly make being away from home on the holidays hard. :( O well...I wish everyone here a wonderful holiday! I hear that Monday is a popular holiday here in Poland as well...Schmingus Dingus, I think it's called? I was told not to go outside without something over my head because I may get sprayed with water! HA. I hope to write sometime during the playoffs before I go home. So, until then, HAPPY EASTER!
